Illumina has been at the forefront of genomic innovation for three decades, yet the translation of technology into tool that can be used to tackle some of the worlds most pressing issues such as food security and biodiversity is a challenging one. The application of genomic science to agriculture and systems management holds much promise. In this workshop we will hear from researchers and entrepreneurs making it happen in both plants and animals, celebrate as we announce the Agricultural Greater Good Initiative award grantee, hear the impact of a past award, and learn about the product innovations from Illumina that underpin these advances and initiatives, including updates to Illumina sequencing and array platforms, library prep and data analysis tools.
